How to change the language in Valorant

Optimizing your language settings in Valorant is vital to ensure that everything is appropriate to your preferences.

Knowing how to change the language in Valorant can make learning about the game much easier and you can quickly see how to help your teammates in any situation. However, modifying these settings only takes a few clicks, but is not straightforward during the Valorant closed beta.

At the moment, you cannot change Valorant's language in the game menu. You will need to do this with your Riot Games account, but you cannot edit any settings within the main launcher. Instead, you have to do it from Valorant's, which players generally lose due to an auto-login feature. You can do this by adding the text "-disable-auto-launch" to the shortcut, found in the properties of the shortcut on your desktop. You can access them by right-clicking on the Valorant shortcut found on your desktop.

By doing this, the Valorant client appears before it takes you directly to the game. From here, you can access the options icon in the lower right corner of the page. Choose the language options, along with any other option changes you may have, and then accept the changes. Once they have been accepted, you will need to restart your Valorant client again.

Unfortunately, a good part of the English words remain in Valorant because many of them do not have direct translations. These remain the same to ensure that communication remains a little more consistent between all players, but you should note that several of the words and phrases in the game have changed to the chosen language.
