New Agent Valorant Killjoy

Killjoy: Everything We Know About New Agent Valorant Killjoy

New Agent Valorant Killjoy IS A DEADLY INVENTOR WITH SOME WILD TRICKS IN HIS SLEEVE

The first post-launch agent for Valorant is a genius engineer with an automatic turret.

Now that Valorant is officially out for anyone to play, it's time to start looking forward to what's to come next. Riot is treating Valorant like a living, breathing service game.

That means new skins, battle passes, game modes, and maps on a regular schedule. That's great, but the jewel in the crown of all updates is, of course, a new agent.

More agents on Valorant will mean new twists to the meta, more fun skills to play with, and new ways to use old agents.

Riot has promised a new agent in each act (named Valorant for seasons), each of which lasts a few months.

With three acts per chapter and two chapters per year, we can expect six new agents each year.

The first of those agents, as Riot finally announced after a leak, is German engineer Killjoy.

Who is Killjoy?

New Agent Valorant Killjoy

Our first clue to the agent we now know to be Killjoy was in Valorant's Act 1 Battle Pass.

A player card obtained towards the end of the pass (pictured below) triggers Killjoy's turret and the Nanoswarm grenade.

Now that Riot has officially revealed Killjoy, we know that she is a German tech savvy.

Like other Valorant agents, we also know that she has an existing relationship with the cast that will appear in the voice lines played at the beginning of the rounds.

What are Killjoy's abilities?

Thanks to an early Riot leak , we already know the exact names and effects of Killjoy's abilities.

Riot quickly removed the videos showing the skills in action, but Valorant Floxay's data miner reposted them for all to see.

In order of appearance in the video, here are all the skills and their description written from Killjoy's perspective:

Alarmbot (C) - Equip and deploy a bot that will chase enemies who dare to come within range.

When my killer robot friend reaches his goal, Boom becomes the jerk. New Agent Valorant Killjoy

Alarmbot not only deals damage, but temporarily leaves affected targets vulnerable to double damage from all sources. Keep equipped if you want to get your deployed bot back.

Turret (Q): Sometimes it is good to plant some roots. Deploy a turret that fires at enemies within its 180 degree cone.

Keep equipped to retrieve the deployed turret. With my turret, I can hold an area quite well while the others cover the angles that I can't.

Nanoswarm (E) - OK, look at this. Throw the grenade. When it lands, it shuts up.

Then, activate the Nanoswarm to deploy a damaging swarm of nanobots and catch the enemy crying. I love this trick!

Lockdown (Ultimate) - You'll have to adjust your time for the windup, but once you turn on this device, it stops all enemies caught in its radius for about 8 seconds.

Yes, enemies can destroy it, except I built a lot more.
Based on his skills, Killjoy will specialize in blocking a site with traps and gadgets.

The most interesting piece of your kit is the automatic turret, which will serve as an additional pair of eyes monitoring a bomb site or covering a flank.
